Julie York received her BFA from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, Vancouver, BC and her MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Alfred, NY. Her work has been included in numerous national exhibitions and in the permanent collections of the Schein Joseph International Museum of Art Alfred, NY, the Burchfield Penny Art Center, Buffalo, NY and major private collections. York is the recipient of a number of grants including PEW Fellowship, Pew Fellowship in the Arts, Philadelphia, PA; the Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts from the Independence Foundation and more.
